Family Literacy

This national literacy program began in 1994 with the overall objective of providing educational, parenting, and social resources to the entire family unit instead of simply the child or the parent.  The Family Literacy program consists of four components; The Adult Basic Education segment, Early Childhood Education segment, Parent and Child Time segment and the Parent Discussion segment.  The program is designed to encourage families to learn together while enhancing life skills, job skills and High School Equivalency (HSE) preparation. Transportation and childcare are available. Community Partner: Literacy Alliance
